Whats up guys today we are going to give you a first impression of the Samsung Note 2 and a benchmark comparison with the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3.

So first of WOW the screen on the Note 2 is huge! And mean HUGE! It rocks a 5.5 inch Super Amoled Display and wow its it beautiful.

People might argue with the point of it being to big and yeah they do have a point, I have medium sized hands and the Note 2 is really fiddly when trying to function basic tasks such as web browsing and texting.

However its really cool for watching videos and viewing content on the device with the amazing screen.

Apart from having the big screen the device has some other cool features such as the S-Pen which I am very fond of, It bring some really software features to the device and really fun to mess around with.

Something else that stood out to me is the removable battery and micro SD card expansion slot which is always nice to see.

Check out our video below.

Moving on the the performance of the device! The device has some rather impressive specifications for and performs really well.

We put it against some of the top smartphones such as the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 and compared the benchmarks to see what scores the would come out with.

The test was carried out using Geek bench 2 a popular benchmarking application available on both platforms iOS and Android.

The scores are listed below

  • Note2: 2027 Running Android 4.1.1 [JellyBean]
  • Samsung Galaxy S3: 1784 Running Android 4.1.2 [Jelly Bean]
  • iPhone 5: 1418 Running IOS6

Check out our video which is below!

Overall I think that the Note 2 is a great performer and its looking good for my first impressions. I will be posting a full review in a couple of weeks until then Stay tuned to thegadgetbook.com for latest and greatest gadget news and reviews, also follow us on Twitter and Like our Facebook Page
